The short version
orchidhorizon.com uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, and Google Analytics sets two cookies to do that. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and our own page-view count. There is no advertising on this site and nothing is used to target ads at you. You can switch all of it off on your device.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics tells us which pages people read, how they arrived, whether they joined the waitlist, and which of our products they went on to visit. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_8L5WWTRWNE, which let it recognise a returning browser. They can last up to two years. Google processes this information on its own servers, which are outside New Zealand. We do not send your name or email address to Google Analytics.
Vercel Web Analytics and our own count
Vercel, our host, counts page views without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. Our own page-view count records the page you are on, its title, the site you arrived from, any campaign tags in the link, and your browser’s window size, and our host adds the country and region the request came from. It keeps a random session id in session storage, which disappears when you close the tab. We do not record your IP address, your name, or your email against any of it.
Switching it off
Add ?dnt=1to any address on this site. That stores a do-not-track flag in your browser’s local storage, and from then on Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and our own count all stop on that device. Clear it with ?dnt=0. You can also block Google Analytics on every site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.

Our products are separate
Each Orchid Horizon product, Orchid Edge, My Budget Mate, and Orchid Home & Business PA, lives on its own domain and has its own cookie policy. This page covers orchidhorizon.com only.
